At Tabernacle of Praise, we have an awesome group of
teenagers. I think of each of them more as family members
than youth group members.
We have been blessed so much during the past few years.
One great blessing is our new gymnasium that we use
weekly. We play basketball on Tuesdays and volleyball on
Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. However, during November,
December, January and February our church will be hosting
Upward Bound Basketball. This is a basketball program
operated by the First Baptist Church in Hurricane, West
Virginia. During those months we will only have volleyball on
Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
We have our weekly youth Praise and Bible Study in the
gymnasium on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Our main
purpose is to teach others to love and serve Jesus Christ.
We also have monthly youth services in the main sanctuary
on the third Sunday evening of each month where the youth
lead the worship service for the entire congregation.
Our group enjoys hanging out together. We have monthly
activities that include hiking trips, camping trips, theme parks,
concerts, movies and more. The teenagers also often go out
to eat together.
